A New Journey

About a month ago we finished up an amazing Perspectives Course class..and were left at a very confusing stage in our lives.. We had it all planned out..I was going to quit my job and stay home..more time with my son and some more in ministry. Renato was going to continue his job at Life Line. We would be good off and everything would be fine...our plans... WELL on a friday i gave my months resignation notice at the bank and on that following Monday Renato's job was a little on the shaky side..the company might have some big changes being made which could mean quite a few of their employees might not have jobs there anymore..which included Renato..WOOOO that was a big curve ball...that was definitely NOT in OUR plan.. God, what are you doing???? We didn't understand!! Would Renato have to get a different job now? Was i supposed to stay at the bank or what now?? Ministry wise we didn't know anymore either what we were supposed to do or what does God want from us???? We were confused and more or less lost..Our plan was breaking apart right before our eyes..Through many tears and prayers we realized God was in control and that as many plans as we make..if God isn't the leader of them they won't succeed..As long as we didn't fully give ourselves to him and were ready to do whatever he called us to do nothing was going to work out right..It wasn't until then that we finally gave ourselves to him and HIS plan that things started changing for us..
Proverbs 16:3  "Commit to the LORD whatever
you do, and your plans will succeed."
He wanted us to rely on Him and lean on Him and not our own understanding. And now.. there is a good chance the employees probably will be able to keep their jobs... We don't know what our future all holds but we know WHO holds the future and that's enough for us!! We have a loving and faithful God and if we are faithful to him he will make our paths straight..After 4 1/2 years I am no longer employed at Security Trust & Savings Bank. I learned a lot and I know i might miss it occasionally but We have decided to become missionaries for God....with Christ for the City!!! We started the application process and are waiting to hear back..Whatever happens I know we are all called to be missionaries. It doesn't necessarily mean to go overseas or across the country it can be in our own backyards, work places, wherever God puts us..God wants everyone to know of Him and how much He loves us..Every day is an example of what we believe to someone else...So in faith we have stepped out and are looking forward to working in ministry a little more full time. We are sOO ready for whatever God has planned for us next!!
Today has been a very great but nervous, anxious overwhelming feeling of a day because i just can't quite grip the fact that here we are ready to start a new journey after years of the same routine..Please keep us in your prayers..

Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
